National Foundation for S&T

The National Foundation for Development of Science and Technology was established to assist in funding the operations of the NCST including the Secretariat as well as science and technology activities and projects.

Increasing public awareness on the importance of S&T is a significant part of its mandate. The Foundation would thus assist in promoting and encouraging the increased use of science and technology for socio-economic development.

The Foundation has provided funds for the operations of the Secretariat, the Science Technology and Innovation Policy Reviews, prizes for a national science and technology competitions and seminars.

The activities of the Foundation are guided by members of a Board of Governors who are representatives of the institutions (foundation members) that made contributions to the fund.

Membership to the Foundation

The Foundation is inviting all persons and institutions interested in promoting and increasing the use of science and technology to become members.

Categories of membership are as follows:

  • Foundation Member $3,000,000
  • Corporate Member Annual Membership Fee $500,000
  • Individual member $50,000
